2022 MBNA Chester Metric Marathon

Join us at the MBNA Chester Metric Marathon - 2nd October 2022

The MBNA Chester Metric Marathon is part of the UK's best marathon weekend (up to 5,000 runners), as voted at the 2018, 2019 & 2020 Running Awards. It is the UK's only Metric Marathon (26.2km), a great challenge for half marathon runners and an ideal stepping stone if you're aiming for a full marathon in the future.

The event boasts a lively city centre start and finish, with a route that passes all Chester's iconic landmarks, then heads out into the Cheshire countryside, where they will meet up with the full marathon runners, returning to Chester along the banks of the River Dee for an unforgettable finish and all the enthusiasm you could ask for from the Cestrian supporters who line the course to cheer you on.

Late entry:

£47.00    From 1st August 2022

Once you have entered you can transfer your place to another runner or our Run Your Way event, however you cannot transfer to any other event or defer to another year and there are no refunds. The minimum age on race day is 18.

*Transfers to our Run Your Way event are only accepted up to 23:59 on 1st October 2022.

Covid-19 

Our Covid Race Guarantee is still in place for our 2022 events. We will continue to follow the advice and current guidelines provided by our local council and the governing bodies for our sport, and continually adapt and adjust our event plans as appropriate.  Please rest assured we are continually working behind the scenes to deliver a safe and amazing experience for our runners in 2022.

Under UK Athletics Rules - UKA Race licence number TBC 

If you decide you no longer want to take part and want to cancel your entry into the event, as per our terms and conditions your race place is non refundable and we do not offer deferrals. 

You can always transfer your race place to someone else, free of charge any time before the event, by using the official transfer process outlined in your entry confirmation email. Race places are not transferable between different events or years.

If we, as the event organiser, have to make the decision to postpone or cancel our event(s), we will make every reasonable effort to notify you and your race place will automatically be deferred free of charge, to the next scheduled race date for that event.
