The 2021 Aldi Chester 10K is the fourth edition of this sellout race. The fast course starts at Chester Racecourse and heads north-west out of the City. Wide roads allow runners to rapidly settle into race pace, as they pass near the picturesque village of Mollington before returning to the heart of Chester City centre and finishing with a spectacular backdrop of the Eastgate Clock on Eastgate Street. All finishers will receive a tech T-shirt, bespoke medal and goody bag.
Before proceeding please note that you are entering the 2021 ALDI Chester 10K (6.2 miles). Once you have entered you can transfer your place to another runner, however you cannot transfer to another race and there are no refunds or deferrals. The minimum age on race day is 15.
There will be wave starts for the Aldi Chester 10K to give runners the best experience on race day:As part of the measures we are implementing to enable us to host a Covid-19 secure event, the Chester 10K will utilise a number of Start Waves. These will be communicated to you before the event.
Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 men and women and the winners of each age group.
It is important you start at the correct time for the wave you will be allocated.

COVID Race Entry Guarantee & Covid-19 Measures
All our 2021 race entries are covered by our COVID Race Entry Guarantee (CREG), providing you with extra reassurance about entering our 2021 events. Should one of our events be cancelled due to COVID-19, our CREG means we will automatically guarantee you a place into the next scheduled race for that event, by deferring your Race Place free of charge. If you are not able to run on the re-scheduled date, for any reason, there will be other options available to you, which will be communicated to you at the time.
We will continue to follow the advice and current guidelines provided by our local council and the governing bodies for our sport. This is a highly dynamic situation and we will continually adapt and adjust our event plans as appropriate. Full details of the measures required to enable us to host Covid secure events and to ensure the safety of everyone involved, will be confirmed closer to race day. Please rest assured we are continually working behind the scenes to deliver a safe and amazing experience for our runners in 2021.
It is impossible to have a rule for every conceivable situation related to COVID-19 and your ability to attend on Race Day. If you are unable to attend on Race Day due to personal circumstances (e.g., local lockdown, quarantine, self-isolation etc), providing you retain a valid entry to the event, you may take part in our 'Run Your Way Event', covering at least the race distance between:
20th June and 15th August for the Chester 10K.
Please contact info@activeleisureevents.co.uk if you are unable to attend on race day. We will then provide you with more details on how to submit your race data.
Taking part in the Run Your Way Event will still enable you to complete the race and qualify for the 2021 Chester Triple medal.

If you decide you no longer want to take part and want to cancel your entry into the event, as per our terms and conditions your race place is non refundable and we do not offer deferrals.
You can always transfer your race place to someone else, any time before the event at no extra cost, by using the official transfer process outlined in your entry confirmation email. Race places are not transferable between different events or years.
If we, as the event organiser, have to make the decision to postpone or cancel our event(s), we will make every reasonable effort to notify you and your race place will automatically be deferred free of charge, to the next scheduled race date for that event.
If, due to a local lockdown, quarantine, self-isolation or another reason you are not able to attend an event, providing you retain a valid entry to the event, you may run a virtual race of at least the race distance on, before or up to four weeks after race day. It is important that you let us know if you would like to run the race virtually by contacting info@activeleisureevents.co.uk and stating in the subject line 'I’D LIKE TO RUN THE CHESTER 10K VIRTUALLY, so we can provide you with more details, otherwise your race place will be classed as did not start on race day.
