The MBNA Chester Mini Marathon is Chester’s number 1 family running event and is a great way for supporters of the main races to join in on all the fun. The Mini Marathon will be conducted wholly within Chester Racecourse, and this year will be entirely on tarmac.
The Mini Marathon is open to anyone wanting to run, however, it is aimed primarily at children. Parents, grandparents and carers are also welcome to enter. If you wish to run with your child, you also need to enter. This is to ensure that the number of people on the course is safe for all ages.
Each Mini Marathon runner will receive a souvenir race shirt, race number, a bespoke chunky medal, drink and treat.
Running numbers and t shirts must be collected from the Help Desk at Chester Racecourse between 14:00 and 18:00 on Saturday 5th October and between 07:30 and 10:00 on race day. If you have not collected your number by 10:00 on race day, the race charity may sell your place to another runner and they will keep all the proceeds from any sale.
Places are limited but the event is open to all.
This is a fun run and not a race with the aim being to involve as many people as possible. With this in mind, everyone is a winner and there are no official timings or prizes.
* due to the lead time required, t shirts have been ordered based on the sizes required at previous events and sizes will be issued on a first come first served basis, when collecting your number.
