2025 MBNA Chester Marathon

Join us at the 2025 MBNA Chester Marathon - 5th October 2025 

The MBNA Chester Marathon is the 6th largest Marathon in the UK, 3x winner of the UK's best marathon, Racecheck GOLD rated event and home to the England & Welsh Athletics Age Group Masters Championships.

All abilities, ages, fun and charity runners are welcome.

The event boasts a lively city centre start and finish, with a route that passes all Chester's iconic landmarks, then heads out into the Cheshire & North Wales countryside, before returning along the banks of the River Dee for an unforgettable finish and all the enthusiasm you could ask for from the Cestrian supporters who line the course to cheer you on.

UKA Affiliated Runners will receive a £2 discount at checkout.

Special Entry Price:     

£52.00     Until 23:59 on 20th October 2024

Standard entry:

£62.00     Until 23:59 on 28th September 2025

Late entry:

£66.00     From 29th September 2025

Once you have entered you can transfer your place to another runner, however you cannot transfer to any other event or defer to another year and there are no refunds. The minimum age on race day is 18.

We understand that sometimes issues outside of your control occur and you may be unable, or no longer want to take part. In these circumstances we offer you the ability to transfer your race entry to someone else free of charge by using the official transfer process outlined in your event confirmation email, any time before the event.  All transfers must be actioned by you through the on-line registration site.

If you enter as Green Runner and wish to transfer your place, the new runner will also become a Green Runner. They will not be able to change this.

Refund Protect Insurance Policies can be selected during the online entry process, and they can give you a refund in the event you are unable to attend the event for a variety of reasons, please see the Refund Protect Terms and Conditions on the entry page for more details.

As per our terms and conditions your race place is non refundable and we do not offer deferrals, entries are not transferable between different entry types, or different events or years.

If we, as the event organiser, have to make the decision to postpone or cancel our event(s), we will make every reasonable effort to notify you and your race place will automatically be deferred free of charge, to the next scheduled race date for that event.
